LUIS ÁNGEL ORDUÑA GUTIÉRREZ - Ranura Vacía - is an audiovisual artist based in Mexico City with a background in musical composition. He studied music composition at the "Academy of Art of Florence" in Mexico City and is known for his work in experimental electronic music with the project "Ranura Vacía" and as the leader of the experimental jazz project "Antiánima."

In 2019, he ventured into visual creation, acquiring skills in software such as Blender, TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena, and Hydra. Notable performances include "Antiánima" at the "Fundación Sebastián" and his participation at the "Jazzahead!" festival in Bremen, Germany, in April 2024.

With "Ranura Vacía," he released an EP in 2022, exploring genres like glitch, breakcore, ambient, and noise. The EP, accompanied by visuals, was presented at the "LPM" festival in Münster, Germany, in 2023.

As an electric guitar performer, he collaborated with the "Big Band GAM" from 2022 to 2023, contributing to the cultural enrichment of the community.

Luis Ángel's approach involves continuous experimentation and innovation, creating unique and immersive experiences that blend auditory and visual elements.

VORTEX AV SET demo: Vortex is an audiovisual performance that explores the connections between music, visuals, and abstract concepts, creating an immersive experience. Using live coding, melodic and rhythmic patterns interact with visual elements like photogrammetry of statues from Germany and AI-generated Images. The piece gradually evolves from simple shapes into complex imagery, reflecting the interplay between simplicity and intricacy. Inspired by Gerard Grisey's Vortex Temporum, the performance delves into time's fluidity, blending technology with nature
