CHRIS CORRENTE - works across video, performance, image generation, research, and music. His work is absurdist and discordant, filtering tropes of academia, high art, pop, and corporate culture through an irreverent lens. Corrente holds a BFA and MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute. Currently living and working in New York City, he has performed and shown at dozens of galleries, music venues, theaters, and museums..

Chris Corrente and Laura Hyunjhee Kim have been collaborating on video, performance, and music projects for over a decade. Their work incorporates pop-culture tropes, absurdist humor, and mixed-fidelity aesthetics influenced by internet vernacular, offering commentary and critique on the affordances of digital technologies and homogenization of global culture. From exhibitions, festivals, screenings to live performances, their works have traveled around the world and has been introduced to a broad audience.
