ANDRE PERIM

ANDRE PERIM - is a Multimedia Artist, Musician and Composer. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, his work is focused on a critical view of the relationship between technology and language in the digital age. At times, his work resembles Glitch aesthetics, and he has performed at significant exhibitions of the genre such as Glitch Art BR (Brazil), FU:BAR (Croatia), and "Glitch Art is Dead" (USA). In 2020, he received a review in a special edition of ART HABENS Contemporary Art Review. As a musician, he released, among other works, "Side Effects", produced from inside a hospital during a long period of oncological treatment. It is currently broadcast on London's RTM FM as a regular radio programme.

SYNOPSIS:

INFOTOXICATION: Infobesity or Information Overload is a concept that describes a state of paralysis caused by an excess of data. From there, the Artist produced a Video Art piece creating an imaginary language based on ideograms and presented at a dizzying pace to create an atmosphere of chaos and claustrophobia.
